Calling all Young Professionals! Get Ready to LEAD.
We are The Leadership Emergence and Development Project (LEAD), a nonprofit organization that engages young professionals in the charitable and philanthropic communities of the Twin Cities. We accomplish our mission in three ways:
Charitable Events: LEAD hosts charitable benefits for Twin Cities nonprofits that raise money and awareness for their organization. Our events provide fun opportunities for you to meet dynamic, like-minded young professionals while supporting a great cause!
Leadership Facilitation: Get Involved! is LEAD’s vehicle for connecting young professionals with board positions and skill-based volunteer opportunities with local nonprofit organizations. Our facilitation efforts provide easy opportunities for you to get further involved in our community by applying your skills and talents in volunteer work with a local nonprofit. Young professionals often use these opportunities to develop new skills for use future endeavors. Refining and enhancing your abilities in this way will benefit your career development while improving a local nonprofit!
Leadership Education: LEAD provides leadership education to interested young professionals who want to learn more about the formal responsibilities of nonprofit boards. We do this through holding ‘Board Boot Camps’ throughout the year that educate young professionals on expectations of the role. Camp topics include: nonprofit management, board member roles/responsibilities, and preliminary steps for how to get started.
