It’s time again for PhilanthroFair hosted by LEAD. Come out to Loring Pasta Bar to meet nonprofits that are looking for motivated, passionate volunteers.
All nonprofits have skill-based volunteer opportunities/board of director/advisory board openings. This is a great way to learn about community needs and how to get involved, while meeting other like-minded young professionals.

Volunteer Opportunity – Minds Matter

If you’re interested in learning more about what it takes to be a successful board member, consider attending the 60-minute Board Boot Camp prior to PhilanthroFair. The PhilanthroFair Board Boot Camp is great for anyone who is curious about becoming a board member and wants to know the right questions to ask nonprofits at LEAD’s PhilanthroFair. In this in-depth training, participants will learn:
- Board member roles and responsibilities
- Skills that translate well to serving on a board
- Common pitfalls that can come to boards
- What young professionals can gain from board service
