PhilanthroFair
June 17th, 2010
Over 130 young professionals invested their time at a 30-minute PhilanthroFair Mini Board Bootcamp in order to learn what it takes to be a nonprofit board member or volunteer. After the bootcamp, attendees met with nonprofit representatives from LEAD, Smile Network, Women’s Advocates, Bolder Options, Youth Venture, Give Us Wings, Women Venture, Finnegans Community Fund, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. All nonprofits featured skills-based volunteer, advisory board, and board of director opportunities for young professionals. He is interested in our foundation becoming part of the Lead Group, but we don’t know how to make this happen. Can you advise us please?
