About The LEAD Project

Our Mission:

The Leadership Emergence and Development Project (The LEAD Project) is a non-profit organization that engages young professionals in the charitable and philanthropic communities of Minnesota.

The LEAD Project accomplishes this mission by:

  • Sponsoring social benefits in partnership with charitable organizations in Minnesota;
  • Developing a culture of philanthropy and sense of community responsibility among young professionals.
  • Working with the charitable organizations to help them identify young leaders for leadership positions.

What We Do:

We sponsor and host social benefits that highlight charitable organizations actively engaged in addressing a variety of needs in our community.  Our events provide a chance for people to learn about these organizations, as well as create an opportunity for these organizations to attract volunteers and future leaders.

We promote and encourage a culture of philanthropy and community responsibility among young professionals, which is reinforced at our benefits and by our members.

We also work with both our sponsored charities and other charitable organizations in Minnesota to help them identify and connect with exceptional young professionals for important leadership positions.

We have relationships with the charitable organizations that we sponsor, and work with them to ensure that their needs, as well as ours, are met. In addition, we have relationships with community leaders and leading community groups, creating a network of mutually aligned organizations building a stronger Twin Cities.
